Turning ambiguity into clear direction
I lead design in complex, high-stakes environments where clarity, alignment and delivery matter, working in partnership with leadership, product and engineering.
Across Appen, Cyara, and AP+, I’ve built and led design teams across enterprise SaaS, regulated platforms, and large-scale consumer products, where clarity of purpose and system-level thinking are critical.
I’m typically brought in when organisations need shared direction, aligning senior stakeholders around what matters most, setting clear intent at a system level, and creating focus teams can confidently execute against.
My role spans shaping strategy, building and supporting teams, and designing operating models that enable consistent, high-quality decision making at scale.

Set shared design direction, standards, and execution model for a distributed, multi-region team through a multi-day product design kickoff.
How I operate
I lead with a clear, repeatable way of turning strategy into direction and outcomes. The 4Ps are the lenses I use to design the conditions for effective teams, sound decisions, and measurable impact. They help me set direction early, align people and work around shared priorities, and create enough structure for teams to move with confidence.
Purpose
Clarity on why this work exists and how it supports the broader strategy.
People
Creating clear ownership while building capability and trust over time.
Practice
Ensuring the practice is coherent, grounded, and well understood at depth.
Process
Establish just enough structure to create momentum and predictability.

Clara Lim, Design Researcher
“I appreciate Andrew's commitment to being a leader rather than purely a supervisor. He truly puts his team first and challenges us to be better than we were yesterday. His UX knowledge and experience definitely became evident in his feedback when critiquing UX research and design work.”

Nina Ventanilla, Sr. Product Designer
“What sets Andrew apart is his unwavering commitment to transparency. He kept the lines of communication open at all times, ensuring that his team members were always well-informed and empowered to make informed decisions.”
